MOU Signing Ceremony Between the Colombo Stock Exchange and the University of Ruhuna.
In a significant move aimed at promoting capital market education and financial literacy, the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) and the University of Ruhuna entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 19 th July 2023. The signing ceremony was graced by distinguished personalities, including Senior Prof. Sujeewa Amarasena; the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna, Mr. Rajeeva Bandaranaike; the Chief Executive Officer of the CSE, Senior Prof. E.P. Saman Chandana; the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna. Prof. M.K. Wanniarachchige; the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Ruhuna, Mr. Niroshan Wijesundere; the Vice President (Marketing) of the CSE, Mrs. P.S. Kalugama; the Registrar of the University of Ruhuna. Moreover, Mr. K.G.P.V. Gunarathna, the head of the department of Accountancy, Mrs. M.S. Nanayakkara, the Head of the Department of Finance, academics from the Faculty of Management and Finance and the senior executives of the CSE were present at the ceremony. Mr. Nirodha Abeygunawardene, the Manager of the CSE Matara Branch, coordinated the initiatives.
