Introduction
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the Faculty of Management and Finance liaise with the Center for Quality Assurance of the University to uplift the quality standards of the university through engaging in quality related mattes at the faculty level as specified in the Quality Assurance By-law of the University.

Curriculum Revision - 2023/2024
The Faculty of Management and Finance has initiated curriculum revision for all six study programmes namely, BBAHons in Accounting, BBAHons in Business Management, BBAHons in Business Technology Entrepreneurship, BBAHons in Human Resource Management, and BBAHons in Marketing. This latest revision revises the curriculum revised in 2017.The faculty aims to implement these new curricula with effect from 2024. This revision aims to enhance the quality and relevance of the study program offered by the faculty. With this revision, the curricula of the faculty meet all minimum requirements of SLQF and subject benchmark statements.

Quality Assurance Workshops and Events
Knowledge Sharing Session on Examination Matters
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the faculty organized a knowledge-sharing session on examination matters for faculty staff on 21.02.2024 from 9.00 am to 11.00 am at the New Faculty Board Room. The session aimed to enhance understanding of the revised examination manual and best practices of examinations and related procedures. Prof. Manjula K. Wanniarachchige, Prof. P.A.P. Samantha Kumara and Mr. K.G.P.V. Vijitha Gunarathna served as the resource persons for the session and shared their expertise on various aspects of examinations, including revised examination manual, effective question paper setting and marking techniques and maintaining integrity and transparency in examination processes. The session fostered an interactive environment, encouraging staff to engage in the discussion and sharing mutual insights. The IQAC’s initiative highlights the faculty’s ommitment to
continuous improvement and ensuring the highest quality standards in its academic processes, ultimately benefiting students and the overall academic environment.

Researcher Boost session for Early Career Academic Staff
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the faculty hosted a Researcher Boost session specifically designed to empower and support early career academic staff on 21.02.2024 from 1.00 pm to 3.30 pm at the New Faculty Board Room. This engaging session provided valuable insights and resources to help early career researchers navigate the initial stages of their research careers and thrive in their academic endeavours. Dr. Thedushika De Silva, Chairperson – IQAC served as the resource for the session and shared her expertise in publishing quality journals and supportive
strategies for young academics. The session fostered a sense of collaboration, networking with peers and exchanging research ideas through interactive role plays and discussions on navigating their research journey. This initiative demonstrated the faculty’s commitment to supporting and guiding early-career academic staff and empowering them to contribute significantly to the academic landscape.

Soft Skills Development Workshop for Non-Academic Staff
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the Faculty of Management and Finance organized a workshop for the non-academic staff of the Faculty on ‘soft skill development’. It was held successfully on 25.05.2022 at the new board room of the faculty. Dr. A.C. Karunaratne, Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Management and Finance participated as the resource person to conduct the workshop. The staff members enjoyed the workshop and highly appreciated the learning experience they received.
This workshop is the first in a series of workshops, specially designed to improve the soft skills of non-academic staff members of the faculty. The workshop series is intended to develop attitudes, inculcate values and disciplines, improve communication skills, enhance relationship building skills &teamwork, and improve coping for managing stress among the staff members, all of which are treated as important components to manage the personal and employed life of the staff members and enhance the productivity of the employees.
Workshop on Lean Management for Efficiency
The IQAC organized a workshop on Lean Management for Efficiency targeting the academic and administrative officers of the university. The event was held successfully on 12 th November 2021 with the participation of over 50 academies and administrative officers and the event ended with a constructive discussion. Prof. Samantha Kumara conducted the session as the resource person.
