Systematic Literature Review workshop
The Faculty of Management and Finance together with the Staff Development Centre (SDC) of the University of Ruhuna (UOR) have worked on several initiatives for empowering and strengthening its academic and academic supportive staff in their pursuit of teaching and research excellence. One of its endeavours, a workshop on the theme of "Increasing Publications through Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with Bibliometric Analysis"was successfully conducted on 21st June 2023. This workshop was organized by the SDC coordinator of the Faculty of Management and Finance with the support of the Ruhuna University Staff Development Centre as a virtual session and opened it for all the academic and academic supportive staff of the UOR. Renowned resource persons, Mr. K.G Priyashantha and Dr. Tedushika De Silva are from the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Management and Finance, UOR expertly facilitated the workshop. The main aims of this workshop were to improve the research skills and capacity of the academic and academic supportive staff of the UOR and enhance the possibility of publication of their scholarly work in indexed and reputed journals. About 60 participants attended this workshop. Participants were provided an understanding of step-by-step methodology of conducting a SLR from defining research objectives to synthesizing and analyzing data, a solid foundation in conducting comprehensive and evidence-based research, the intricacies of SLR and the application of bibliometric analysis in research.
