Dr. K.G. Priyashantha holds the position of senior lecturer in the Department of Human Resource Management within the Faculty of Management and Finance at the University of Ruhuna. He completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Ruhuna in 2006. Subsequently, he attained a master’s degree in International Management from the University of Agder, Kristiansand, Norway, in 2011, followed by a master’s degree in Labour Studies from the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Colombo in 2015. His academic journey culminated with the completion of a PhD in Human Resource Management from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, in 2023. Throughout his academic pursuits, Dr. Priyashantha has earned various awards and scholarships both locally and internationally.He actively imparts his knowledge by teaching HRM-related subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, both domestically and internationally. Dr Priyashantha is a valuable resource for disseminating local and international research knowledge and skills, particularly in systematic literature reviews, Meta-analysis, Meta-Analysis Structural Equation Modeling (MASEM), and Structural Equation Modelling with AMOS and SMART PLS.
In addition to his primary role as a university academic, Dr Priyashantha has made substantial contributions to society as a resource person, corporate trainer, visiting academic, guest lecturer, and examiner for national-level examinations. His research and publication interests span a wide range of topics, including Gender Stereotypes Change, Work-Family Conflicts, Employee Engagement, Green HRM, Disruptive HRM Technologies, Metaverse in Human Resource Development, and Career Indecision.
Dr. Priyashantha has presented papers at domestic and international conferences. His articles have been published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, including those ranked and indexed in SCIE, SSCI, Scopus, ESCI, DOAJ, ABDC ABS, and more. Furthermore, he actively serves as a peer reviewer for internationally indexed and ranked research journals, conferences, symposia, and books.
