History of ICME

The 1st International Conference on Management and Economics was conducted at COSMATS Institute of Information Technology , Sahiwal Campus, Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 11th and 12th of February 2012 under the theme of “Sustainable growth through Independent Development in Less developed and Emerging Economies”.

The 2nd International Conference on Management and Economics was conducted at the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka on 26th and 27th February 2013 under the theme of “Managing Turbulence in Economic Environment through Innovative Management Practice”. ICME-2013 was organized by the Faculty of Management and Finance, Unversity of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka in collaboration with COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Sahiwal Campus, Islamic Republic of Pakistan; Chinese-German Institute for Intellectual Property, Huazhong University of Science & Technology, P.R. China; University of Nordland, Norway; University of Agder, Norway, and StrategizeBlue, USA.

The 3rd International Conference on Management and Economics was conducted at the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka on 26th and 27th February 2014 under the theme of " Reshaping Management and Economic Thinking through Integrating Eco-friendly and Ethical Practices". ICME-2014 was organized by the Faculty of Management and Finance, Unversity of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka in collaboration with University of Nordland, Norway; University of Agder, Norway, and University of Stavenger Norway.

The 4th International Conference on Management and Economics was conducted at the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka on 26th and 27th August 2015 under the theme of "Insights for Sustainable Development in Emerging Economies". ICME-2015 was organized by the Faculty of Management and Finance, Unversity of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka.

All the four previous conferences were a great success that gave a platform for scholars, researchers and practitioners in different countries to share their research outcomes in different fields of Management and Economics.
